The Medusa Book

The Medusa Book
Melodic Techno Style -Project

Inspired by stories and tales, modern and melodic
songs are created here.

PROJECT INTRODUCTION
THE “MEDUSA BOOK” IS A TECHNO PROJECT THAT BUILDS ON THE PLOTS OF A STORY. IN OTHER WORDS, IT SHOWS THE SEQUENCE OF EVENTS. THESE PLOTS SERVE AS A TEMPLATE FOR MY MUSIC. THE RESULT IS MY MUSIC ALBUM “THE MEDUSA BOOK”.

PLOTS OF THE STORY AND MUSIC ONLY EMERGE IN THE COURSE OF THE PROJECT. I PRESENT BOTH HERE.

I am planning several songs for the album. Based on the storylines in the book, the songs will vary accordingly. My songs use synthesizers, atmospheric, even metallic sounds and mysterious vibes, sometimes more hard techno (bass and drums), sometimes more melodic trance or electro beats, slow and fast beats. I choose the characters of my story from the ancient Greek myths of the gods. The look of the characters should be very modern and futuristic.

I am in no way referring to the authenticity of the myths and gods conveyed, nor is what I have written merely invented and has no relation to real events or encounters. This merely serves as inspiration and helps me to express my music.

“As far as I know, gods never tell stories about themselves and what they experience.”

THE MEDUSA BOOK (Summary)

“It was at a time – according to Greek mythology – when Medusa was still beautiful and a virgin.

When the goddess Athena drove Medusa out of the divine palace, Medusa wandered around to admire the beauties of the sea and the light.

However, Athena never changed her into the terrifying monster that she is still known as to many today. Medusa is the goddess of the past, the present and the future.

This is how this story came about, which begins in the depths of the earth’s oceans.
Medusa’s beauty attracted the attention of Poseidon, brother of Zeus and god of the sea, who coveted her forever. He could not go a single day without thinking about her. He would do anything for her. However, she did not reciprocate his desire to the same extent and so their affection remained a one-sided liaison. The decades he had previously spent in solitude blinded him from truly expressing his feelings. And so it came as it had to. His thoughts of her slowly turned into unwanted sticky tentacles that he could no longer detach from himself. Even the fight against his rival Perseus did nothing to change this. Who was THIS Perseus?

Poseidon could never win this fight. He didn’t know how much Medusa idolized Perseus. So in the end, Medusa’s secret became poison for Poseidon, and the fight against his rival also became a fight against himself. Medusa left without saying a word. Poseidon, disappointed and withdrawn, didn’t care at that moment. He wouldn’t give his heart to anyone who hadn’t earned it. His pride prevailed and he withdrew into the depths of the sea.

Were it not for the pearl of the oceans, Venera, which looked up to Poseidon like a child to its father… Poseidon enjoyed the lovely looks of the pearl and wanted to protect her from danger. In the end, the price Poseidon paid for Medusa was also the loss of the pearl of the oceans. But the pearl turned out to be much wiser and cleverer than Poseidon could have imagined. Now Poseidon felt like the child and the pearl offered him protection.

The pearl of the oceans is, as the name suggests, a pearl so beautiful that its beauty outshines all the suns in the universe put together, garnished with all the pearls of the seas, and far more beautiful still. It offered him the happiness, tranquillity and peace he so longs for.

My musical story therefore begins like any fairy tale from 1000 and 1 Nights and only ends when Poseidon has returned to what he once was. The god of the sea.”

THE MEDUSA BOOK – CHAPTER 1

Medusa the goddess of protection – How it all began.

Somewhere in the depths of the ocean, Medusa lies on a soft bed of seaweed and coral.

The first ray of dawn light gently penetrated the surface of the water, bathing the sea in a warm, golden light and changing the colors of the deep waters. Like a fine brushstroke, the water was criss-crossed by the delicate rays that transformed each into a luminous spectrum. The sea awoke from its nocturnal calm and the first melody of the day began to resound – the melody of the oceans.

Slowly, Medusa opened her blue eyes. She stretched, and every movement seemed to bring the sea itself to life.

THE MEDUSA BOOK – CHAPTER 2

Dance of Medusa

Medusa began to dance. Her body moved with a grace that was unique to the sea. Each step was a subtle choreography that mirrored the movement of the waves as she glided through the water. Her movements were smooth and mesmerizing, like the gentle waves kissing the sea.

The fish swam in unison with Medusa’s movements as if they were her constant companions and the coral flickered in the golden sunlight.

Dolphins emerged from the depths of the ocean and began to dance merrily along. Their light, playful leaps and magnificent arcing movements complemented the goddess’s dance and created an image of pure harmony and joy.

At that moment, everything merged into a perfect whole.

The golden light of the sun transformed Medusa’s dance into a living legend that forever marked the heart of the ocean and all who saw it. As if time stood still and there was only her…. just her and everything else around her was pure bliss.

THE MEDUSA BOOK – CHAPTER 3

Poseidon awakens

(act. in work!)

Poseidon, the god of the sea, lay in his sumptuous underwater residence, surrounded by the waves and the gentle sound of the water. But even in this state of serenity, he was awakened by a distant but remarkable event – the Medusa.

Poseidon could no longer escape its influence. What was at first only a distant, elusive impression now became an invitation that piqued his curiosity and interest.

The gentle waves carried him forward, and the sound led him deeper and deeper into the unknown regions of the sea. Poseidon was aware that he had discovered something unique and wonderful.

Medusa’s dance was like a gentle promise of beauty and mystery that made him keep diving until he finally discovered Medusa.

The two met for the first time, and the stillness of the sea seemed to pause for a moment, as if to capture the moment of their encounter.

Medusa looked up and met Poseidon with a mixture of surprise and curiosity. Her blue eyes sparkled as she caught sight of the mighty god of the sea. Poseidon could not help but be enchanted by the grace and beauty of the goddess. The moment was filled with an almost palpable tension as they looked at each other.

THE MEDUSA BOOK – CHAPTER 4

Pearl of the oceans

The pearl of the oceans is more beautiful than all the pearls in the world put together. It also hides a little secret that only Poseidon knows. The pearl lives in a white shell and radiates so much beauty and contentment that even Poseidon forgets all his senses, time and everything around him. He cannot resist this attraction.

But a curse weighs on Poseidon so that he never gets to see the pearl of the oceans again. For him, it remains hidden in the shell forever.

THE MEDUSA BOOK – CHAPTER 5

Medusa’s wonderful secret

Medusa was keeping a secret that Poseidon only discovered later.

Was it because of him that he didn’t find out from her much earlier or did she not want to tell him and what had happened? Poseidon always believed that something must have happened to Medusa that she never talked about. Maybe her heart was broken, maybe she was simply abandoned.

But Poseidon was wrong. He didn’t know any better and believed that she would tell him one day. This applied to the “past”.

In the “present”, however, he had long noticed the signs, the changes in Medusa. He just couldn’t place them correctly.

The changes in Medusa, which he noticed more and more from time to time, left him no peace. In the end, he was right. This is the “future”. Nevertheless, it hit him like a mighty bolt of lightning from the curved fist of Zeus that Medusa was expecting a child. He had undoubtedly noticed it in her and knew it before she even realized it herself. In return, Poseidon had opened his heart to her, which was shattered forever by this lightning bolt. Even Thor – (he doesn’t belong here, I know, he belongs in Norse mythology) – couldn’t have struck harder.

He couldn’t be with Medusa at this moment of revelation. He couldn’t keep appointments with her and avoided being near her. Now he knew and had an answer to all his questions and made a decision. …

THE MEDUSA BOOK – CHAPTER 6

POSEIDON’S FIGHT (or the battle with Perseus)

Poseidon has taken Medusa to his heart and would only do her good. He will challenge Perseus in battle. Knowing full well that he himself will win nothing.

Perseus would be ready for that!

Poseidon first sets a trap for Perseus to find out whether Perseus‘ love for Medusa is real or whether he is just using her for his own purposes. As expected, Perseus falls into the trap.

But Perseus had Athena on his side. Athena hoped that Perseus would be able to get rid of the wicked Medusa completely and explained to him how he could behead Medusa.

… A fight then breaks out between Poseidon and Perseus. It resembles a gladiatorial battle between two giants.

Poseidon has only one goal in mind: to demonstrate his power and restore his honor. After that, he can no longer love Medusa. The disappointment was too great and the efforts….

THE MEDUSA BOOK – CHAPTER 7

Medusa’s magical world

While the “great” gods were banging their heads, Medusa was enjoying her happy life outside the oceans. Surrounded by slaves, naked and lying beautifully in a flower bath, she enjoys every wonderful moment that is triggered in her by the playful touches of her slaves on her body.

(sounds a bit cheesy, but why not)

THE MEDUSA BOOK – CHAPTER n

The End

Poseidon wins the battle against Perseus and lets him go in the end. Instead, he kills Athena, who has feathered everything and used Perseus for her own purposes out of hatred. After all this, Poseidon is drawn back into the depths of the oceans without wanting to see Medusa again.

Medusa has chosen her path and Poseidon his. But Perseus returns to Medusa and in the end they become a happy couple.

Poseidon moves on, seeks advice and meets Nestis. She is a Sicilian water goddess of Greek mythology. She fills the sea with her tears. Without knowing that he would ever meet her, he had to meet her. It shouldn’t have gone any other way. So for that moment, they both fell into a sea of serenity and relaxation.

Nestis hands him a key. He left her with good intentions and fond memories.

A poem about “Time”:

Time

……

Giving someone time is something special. Giving yourself time for something special is a gift. If you bring both together, it is the most beautiful of all gifts.
